There is something so heart-warming about seeing the beauty in a mother represented in her children and vice versa. I heard a London-based African man say that he had never seen his mother’s real hair as she had always worn her hair in weaves. Can you imagine? Never, ever, seeing your own mother’s natural hair? I don’t know about you, but I find that a little sad. Weave is weave and it’s great to get some extra inches, but I don’t think it should be at the expense of your own natural beauty.
This picture inspires me to be a good role model to my little girl and represent (not just preach) how to love yourself and love who and what you are; hair and all! Thank you @shanillia26.
